Environmentally Sustainable Buildings
There is great emphasis in today’s world to create and sustain an environment which impacts less and less on our natural surroundings.
Buildings and construction in general have a great impact on our natural and built environments. Greatly our aim today is to design and build environmentally friendly buildings that are sustainable, practical, functional, serviceable and aesthetically pleasing for the consumer
The factors effecting how a building will impact on the natural environment and the immediate built environment within which the building sits, include
- How the building is designed
- The method of its construction
- The materials and the finishes used
- How the building is maintained
- The use of the building
- The fate of the building at the end of its economic life.
East Coast Designer Builders encourages our clientele to adopt sustainable building designs to reduce the environmental impacts of new building projects.
In doing so, we hope to minimise the environmental impacts of the building construction phase and construct buildings designed consciously to minimise its carbon footprint, greenhouse gas emissions, and electricity and water consumption.
